INSIGHTS HUB

Pillars and Playbooks for HR

An editorial hub for HR Business Partners buying language programs in Germany. Six pillars, written for buyers, not learners.
Each pillar page is a durable backbone, refreshed yearly. The cluster articles underneath answer the follow-up questions that come up after the first round of discovery calls.

This is the editorial hub for HR Business Partners and L&D leads who buy or run language programs for international teams in Germany. Four pillars cover the conversation we have with HR most often: ROI, onboarding, audit-specific German, and how to choose a provider. Underneath each pillar, focused articles answer the questions that come up after the first round of discovery calls.

Everything on this hub is written for buyers, not for learners. The voice is direct, the numbers are anchored where possible, and the recommendations are independent of any single provider, including us.

Six pillars, six cluster articles

The pillar pages above are the durable backbone of this hub. The six cluster articles, listed in the next section, answer the most common HR follow-up questions: which CEFR level is enough for an engineer, what does the 6-month audit playbook actually look like, how do you compare a Babbel-style app to a 1:1 coaching contract, what is the TCO of in-house vs. outsourced. Each cluster article is independent: read whichever one matches the conversation you are about to have.

Reading paths by situation

If you don’t know where to start, pick the situation that matches yours best. Each path is three or four pages — the minimum we’d recommend reading before a real budget conversation.

Frequently asked by HR

What is a pillar, and what is a cluster article?
A pillar is a durable backbone — written for buyers, refreshed yearly. A cluster article answers a specific follow-up question that comes up after the pillar conversation. Pillars stand alone; clusters depend on a pillar.
Why not just send people to Goethe-Institut?
Goethe and similar mass-market schools deliver excellent generic German. They do not deliver C1 audit-workpaper drafting in 26 weeks, BNetzA filing language for energy ops, or pushback drills for engineering managers. The pillar pages are explicit about where mass-market courses cover well and where they don't.
What does coaching with us cost?
Programs start at €500 per learner per month with a minimum program net cost of €3,600. The exact figure depends on level, format (1:1, group, hybrid) and content scope. The ROI pillar contains the framework HR uses to defend the spend in front of finance.
How long does a typical program run?
Most B1-to-B2 transitions sit between 6 and 9 months at 2 sessions per week. B1-to-C1 audit programs run 6 months under our 4-phase playbook. The HR Onboarding Playbook covers the 30-60-90-day window inside a broader program.
Do you have experience in our industry?
Sectors with deepest coverage: marine and energy engineering, life sciences research, Big-4 audit, industrial software, manufacturing. The industry pillar lists where the role-specific corpora actually diverge — and where they don't.
